Welcome to another episode of The Healthy You Naturally Podcast!

The information is shared as an extension of my 30 year health and wellness practice.

The eyes are one of our five key sensory organs along with our ears, nose, tongue, and skin yet eye health is often something that we do not think much about.

Other than prescription glasses, we may even take our eyes for granted without realizing it - until we, or somebody close to us is affected.

And while this may not affect you today, it’s crystal-clear, prevention today can help you tomorrow!

Consider this thought:

“The greatest gift you can give your eyes is the gift of good health”

Our elderly population is growing rapidly with about one in five over the age of 65 today. In the next decade or so, that number will grow substantially with the last of the boomers moving through retirement soon to be followed by Gen X.

Vision loss compromises people’s quality of life because it reduces their capacity to read, drive a car, watch television, do puzzles, play games, or keep personal accounts.

Often, it isolates people and impedes important friend and family relationships. And with compromised vision, many experience a loss of independence and need help to navigate everyday life, becoming more dependent on caregivers.

The prevalence of vision impairment increases rapidly with age. However, the more we know and understand about it now, the more we can do something about it today.

In this episode, we will discuss:

  • Age and vision quality
  • Common factors affecting eye health
  • Some of the symptoms indicating attention needed
  • The most common culprits of vision impairment
  • How we can work on eye health naturally

I hope you can join me as we explore this important topic and its impacts on our health! The reality for most of us is that there are a lot of complex factors that influence us daily, this episode will discuss solutions that have proven effective for others, and I sincerely hope they resonate with you!

Healthy Regards & Happy Listening!
