What Can Confucius Teach Us About Wellness

In this episode, we’ll be touching on a variety of topics you have asked about.

To pull the questions into some sort of cohesive perspective, I thought I’d start by reaching back 2,500 years to the time of Confucius, regarded as the first teacher in China, who said:

“I hear and I forget.
I see and I remember.
I do and I understand.”

Let me share a parallel:

I am taking a big course at the moment, the goal is to create an online resource for my clients, and my listeners. Much of the (techie) material is totally out of my comfort zone! Anyway, as I attend and study I am thinking to myself ...

"I hear and see the words,
I understand what they mean yet,
I have no clue what to do, where to start, or how it works for me"

Although I find the course very interesting, I feel overwhelmed by the amount of information, how to put it together, and how to apply it. So as I progress through the material I take lots of deep breaths and simply go step-by-step, doing the modules in order, writing all my questions on the side, knowing they will be answered as I go.

Fundamentally, this is not unlike the experiences of my clients over the years, and that helps me put things into perspective. We can and do learn as we listen, review, and then take the steps to make things happen, even if we don't always have the big picture!

Join me as I provide my perspective on your questions including:

  • Why am I hungry after eating?
  • How do I apply the 80/20 rule to my everyday food choices?
  • What do you think about intermittent fasting?
  • Why do you recommend reverse osmosis water?
  • I struggle to follow my herbal program, do you have any tips?
  • Why do I have early evening fatigue?
  • Why am I unmotivated and even depressed every fall?
  • What do you think about Lectins?

This information is not abstract, it has helped and continues to help me live a healthy and balanced lifestyle and I do hope it can be useful on your wellness journey too!

Healthy Regards & Happy Listening!
