Welcome to Episode 50 of The Healthy You Naturally Podcast!

30 years in practice and now fifty episodes of sharing my knowledge and experience! Thank you for continuing this wellness journey with me!

Over the years I have developed a “love affair” with the herbs and gained so much respect on how well they work for me, my family, and my clients.

In fact, I am still amazed every day at what they do … and do so naturally, and so very effectively.

To set the stage for this subject, I would like to begin with a quote first coined by the great philosopher Aristotle that actually highlights the difference between herbs and vitamins:

“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.”

We will be exploring a fascinating topic that has been a core part of human history for millennia: the incredible world of herbs, and how they compare to the 20thcentury discoveries of vitamins and minerals.

    Key points of discussion include:

    • Why herbs, which have been used for centuries across cultures, continue to be revered for their natural, holistic health benefits
    • How these plant powerhouses offer a rich packaged array of nutrients, therapeutic properties, and an innate wisdom that modern science has only just begun to comprehend
    • Why vitamins and minerals which are essential to our health, yet our understanding of them is constantly evolving. We will explore how these isolated nutrients are extracted or more commonly synthesized, their benefits, and the challenges that come with their use

So, whether you are a fan of natural remedies, curious about the science of nutrition, or just looking to make more informed health choices, I invite you to join as I share with you why I love herbs over just vitamins and minerals alone.

The reality for most of us is that there are a lot of complex factors that influence us daily, this episode will discuss solutions that have proven effective for others, and I sincerely hope they resonate with you!

Till next time ... with love, light, and gratitude...
