Why I Almost Stopped Posting My Monthly Health Goals And Why I Won’t
Every month I create a simple plan by setting a Monthly Health Goal, or as I like to call it, my non-negotiable. It’s never complicated. Often, it’s just one reminder or one shift to gently anchor me ... but recently, I found myself wondering…
“Is this too repetitive? Too simple? Too boring?”
And what I realized surprised me—and maybe, it will resonate with you too.
1. We all crave structure especially gentle, empowering structure
Most of us are being pulled in a dozen directions. A monthly reset is not just a reminder—it’s a moment of clarity. A pause to check in and say, “This month, I choose this.”
2. Consistency is magnetic
There’s so much noise in the wellness world. Trends, quick fixes, all-or-nothing plans. But these quiet monthly anchors offer something different: rhythm. Reliability. A calm pulse in the chaos.
3. You don’t need to do everything
One intention. One habit. One choice. That’s it. Each month, I offer a theme or mantra to go along with the goal, and together they offer permission—not pressure—to take care of yourself in a way that feels right.
4. I need the reminder too
Personally, I’ve been doing this work for decades, but I still need to re-center, reflect, and re-choose what matters. If I need that, maybe you do too. That’s not boring. That’s human.
So as we move through the month:
✨ What’s your non-negotiable right now?
✨ What’s one action, ritual, or shift you want to stay anchored in?
Whether it's taking your programs herbs daily, walking with intention, or simply breathing deeper ... let that one thing be your true north for the month. And if you're not sure what it is yet, that's okay. You can choose right now!
Let me know your monthly intention. I always love hearing what’s anchoring you, too.
For over 30 years, I’ve supported clients and taught wellness strategies rooted in nature, rhythm, and real life with a steady, supportive approach. Sometimes, what feels slow is actually the fastest path forward, like the turtle that wins the race.
And yet, even with decades of experience and The BODiWELL Method as my compass, I still find myself needing to pause and re-anchor. That’s why monthly health goals matter to me, not as tasks, but as reminders.
