Diane Reflects On Her Continuing Career of Helping People Naturally
Episode 53 is special because September 6, 2024, marks a 30-year professional milestone for me that would not have been possible without you
I will always be grateful for the wonderful opportunities this journey has represented, not just for myself - it’s the many incredible health transformations I’ve had the honor to be part of with my clients.
Assisted by my podcast manager Simona as interviewer, I will reflect on the past, the present and the future of a continuing wellness journey … done naturally.
Confucius once said these 15 words that I totally identify with, as can my wonderful clients who have heard me express similar words of encouragement as they pursued their own personal health goals:
“It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.”
Along the way, there have been many personal and business challenges as I developed my practice including the setbacks and ‘nay sayers”, in my early years as I embraced Milton Berle’s encouraging words:
“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.”
In my journey, I have built more than a few of those doors and want to express my deepest gratitude to all my clients, colleagues, students, staff, and listeners who over the years have trusted in me and allowed me to be a part of their wellness journey.
Each of your stories, challenges, and triumphs have not only inspired me, they have been integral to the success of Healthy You Naturally Wellness Centres.
Back in 1994, we all lived in a very different world. There were no smart phones, there was no Google, or Amazon, Time Magazine ran a cover story on the ‘Strange New World Of The Internet’, our social media were the newspapers, magazines, radio and tv. We got our music from tapes, records and CD’s.
Despite all that has changed, core elements of our lives have not changed … the desire to lead a life of wellness, to be symptom-free, to pursue our passions. Now, as then, I’m grounded by the words of Mahatma Gandhi:
"It is health that is real wealth and not pieces of gold and silver."
This quote beautifully encapsulates the essence of my philosophy, and methodology. It underscores the invaluable nature of health - not just as a physical state, but as a cornerstone of a fulfilled and prosperous life.
Join Simona and I to reflect on the past, discuss the present, and look forward to a continuing commitment to this true wealth including:
- I just wanted to get and stay healthy
- I never had a plan to develop a business practice
- Where the passion to help others has come from
- How my methodology took shape
- How I often stumbled, got up, and why I kept going
- What I learned about building a client centric wellness practice
Whether you are navigating the challenges of entrepreneurship, managing the demands of your job, and/or caring for your family, it all starts with caring for yourself. And in case anyone needs reminding, consider the words of Jim Rohn:
“Take care of your body. It's the only place you have to live.”
The reality for most of us is that there are a lot of complex factors that influence us daily, this episode will discuss experiences that have proven effective, and I sincerely hope some resonate with you!
Till next time ... with love, light, and gratitude...
