The Synergy of Yoga
We all know, and most might agree, there are many complementary elements that contribute to experiencing a true state of wellness.
In this continuing journey, with Episode 54 we will take a deep dive into the world of yoga and its incredible benefits for our mind, body, and spirit.

Spoiler alert! I must admit that for many years even if I understood the words and their meaning, even if I knew that I should include yoga as part of my wellness routine, I did not actually allow myself to take the time to do it.
Basically, I did not allow myself to actually slow down as it seemed so counterintuitive to the relentless “busyness” of life.
I did not start yoga willingly!
It was my younger daughter Sonya who really got into yoga, and finally convinced me to go with her to try a class.
So that day I committed to just 30 days, though within a few classes, I realized I needed to commit to 90 days before judging.
Then I started to notice the changes and committed to another ninety, to the point where it has now been over 7 years!
OMG for me, in the beginning it was quite challenging as I could barely exercise, I do not like to sweat, and I was NOT flexible at all - emphasise NOT, I could barely touch below my knees, I had no muscle tone, no real core strength, and fretted about losing time on this endeavour vs. the pressures of life’s demands!
My goals were simple (and still are) - to become more flexible, to improve my balance as I am not getting “younger” - and I have seen firsthand how important flexibility and balance is with age, and I also hoped to build a bit of strength.
Consider these simple yet profound words of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh:
"Smile, breathe and go slowly."
Joining me to talk more about this is Kinndli McCollum, co-founder of Power Yoga Canada, a woman who is passionate about leading life-transforming Yoga Teacher Training Programs.
A comprehensive approach that combines asana, meditation, and self-inquiry, aiming to develop both yoga teachers and individuals interested in personal growth and well-being.
So, unroll your mat, take a deep breath, smile, and join us as we embark on this journey to discover the transformative power of yoga.
The reality for most of us is that there are a lot of complex factors that influence us daily, this episode discusses the many benefits of yoga that have proven effective, and I sincerely hope this resonates with you!
Till next time ... with love, light, and gratitude...
